Physical Healing – Game Changer

Can you feel it?  Something is different.  We are literally walking in the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy repeated in Acts 2:18, “In the last days, says God, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh”…  This pouring out of the Holy Spirit is becoming more potent by the day so that it has become near impossible for Satan to deceive any believer.

This morning, God said to me, “The spirit of fear is afraid of you.”  This is true for all believers. What God is saying is that His people are living in fear(sickness, debt, violence, political corruption) because we aren’t mindful of the fact that the devil is scared to death of us. If we resist him tenaciously, he will flee. That’s a promise from God (James 4:7).

What does this have to do with physical healing? Men and women of God, we don’t have to tolerate pains, aches, sickness, diseases or relying on the arm of flesh to help us. Didn’t our Father say, “I AM the LORD Who heals you.”  He meant it.  We know that God watches over His Word to make it good and furthermore – God cannot lie (Jeremiah 1:12; Numbers 23:19).

So what’s the problem? Why does it seem like ¾ of our churches are sick, crushed under horrendous diseases, living with pain and can’t even get a good nights sleep?

God sent His Word and healed them (Psalm 107:20). The promise of God in Isaiah 53:5 (if taken as regularly as medicine) will CURE us. Thank God for our wonderful doctors, medicines, procedures and painkillers. They are temporary Band-Aids – they were never intended to replace God Almighty.  I’m not under condemnation for taking medicine and you shouldn’t be either.  But personally, I’m not satisfied with drugs! I serve a God that promised to take sickness from among us (Exodus 23:25).

God’s Word has creative power. 1 Peter 2:24 (By His wounds you have been healed) will mix with our DNA and change our genes. It doesn’t matter what disease runs in our family. Hello? It doesn’t matter what we ate. We can instantly cancel generational curses and repent of bad choices. The bottom line is that GOD SENT HIS WORD AND HEALED US.

The Game Changer is the Holy Spirit. He is at work in us right now to effect our complete healing. I may sound like another voice crying in the wilderness, but the chains have already been removed.  If we will allowthe uncut Word of God to penetrate our cells and change our DNA, the healing anointing released in us can heal and free millions.  Enough is enough. Let’s take our places in the Body of Christ.

Reprograming Hacked Relationships

Just as a virus attacks a computer, the enemy attacks relationships. I believe that family relationships (parent/child, husband/wife, in-laws) are his favorite targets. Broken family communication and fellowship is very painful.  However, regardless of how long the breach has existed, it can be restored. Remember, nothing is impossible for God or for him that believes!  Although restoring relationships is a process, it can be a very rewarding journey. For my entire life, I’ve had to employ the same godly strategies that I will be sharing in my upcoming book on how to redesign your relationships. Four of the behaviors, skill sets and attitudes that we discuss include how to rebuild love, how to forgive, the importance of commitment, developing self-control and understanding humility. Most importantly, we must explore our own relationship with God. It’s our spiritual connection that provides the grace we need to achieve total success. In our upcoming posts we will go into more depth concerning how to heal any relationship!

Asking For Prayer

Most of us have a lengthy prayer list of persons we hold up in prayer. But many times, we neglect to ask anyone to pray for us!  Many Christians don’t believe in complaining or letting our brothers and sisters know that we need their help.  James 5:16 says that the prayers of the righteous have great power!  As we fight the good fight of faith and believe God for answered prayer, let’s remember to ask other believers to touch and agree for our needs too!  We know that God loves us and He hears our prayers. Not only is Jesus interceding for us, but (right now) His Holy Sprit is raising up individuals, teams and churches to left us as well.  Glory to God!

What Is Spiritual Abuse?

The Lord called many religious teachers (of His day) hypocrites, whitewashed tombs, snakes, sons of hell and vipers. He said they were full of self-indulgence, greed and wickedness. This is what our modern church considers “spiritual abuse.”  Jesus accused religious leaders of failing to practice JUSTICE, MERCY and FAITHFULNESS.  All of us have witnessed leading clergy prosecuted in the news, and God has condemned the behavior of religious leaders who use their position to abuse and rob God’s people. When we discover spiritual abuse, we must resist the temptation to simply gossip, but instead, stand up for what is right and sincerely pray for these lost souls.

Death Is A Doorway

Biblically speaking, there is no need for a believer to fear death. As the Apostle Paul noted in Philippians 1:21, “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.” He knew death was merely a doorway to the presence of the Lord. In fact, we don’t have to morn over believers who lived for Christ because they are even more alive after physical death. We must pray without ceasing for everyone to truly know God for themselves, and celebrate the lives of those who do.

How To Make Sound Decisions

We should always ask God for guidance in decision-making.  No situation is too trivial.  The Lord has been generous, kind and eager to rightly-direct both good and evil people. Additionally, faith-filled Bible study is critical to developing our decision-making skills.  Without the Word of God firmly planted in our hearts, we live in peril, often making costly or even deadly mistakes.  Our Heavenly Father wishes for us to mature in His wisdom so that we become an enormous blessing to others.

God’s Wisdom Is Protection

Satan is constantly laying elaborate traps to destroy the lives and testimony of God’s disciples. In spite of everything, God sees beyond all schemes. The Holy Spirit is faithful to speak to and for everyone who has a close relationship with the Lord.  The wisdom of God will amaze others and end dangerous dilemmas.  God has no one to impress and we shouldn’t either.  His infinite wisdom is always available to those who truly believe in and rely on Him.

Where is God?

Life goes on. We sometimes assume that God isn’t aware or doesn’t care about the violence and injustice that fills the earth.  The truth is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has already saved millions of humans from destruction. Every day, hundreds more are returning to God.  Lest we become complacent, lets remember that God isn’t being lax, He is waiting for more people to be saved.  The day and hour has already been appointed when all evil (and those who practice it) will be eliminated. Where is God? He’s looking forward and rejoicing over being eternally reunited with us!

Who Can Be Saved?

God has a direct path and assignment for us.   Some of us resist, but later become faithful.  Others were born and raised in the church, forsake God to pursue a downward path.  Jesus observed that in the end, it was the worse of sinners who (most readily) converted to become His most devoted followers.  All of us must guard against pride. The Word of God warns that, “Anyone who regards himself as all-wise is a fool” (Proverb 26:12). The Lord has prophesied that much to our amazement, “The first shall be last and the last shall be first” (Matthew 20:16).

When To Shut Up…

When we find ourselves in challenging circumstances or confronted by enemies, it is not wise to speak or act too hastily. We must give the Holy Spirit time to direct or steps and our speech.  “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry (James 1:19 NIV).
