Many longtime Christians experience great hardship. Sometimes, we wonder, “Why do I have to go through so much if I’m serving the Lord!?” I believe the answer is simple. When we got saved, we were “on fire.” We were active in faith, bible study and love. In the book of Revelation 2:4, Jesus said this, “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first.” God has done his part, but it’s no time to get lazy.  If we intend to save our relationships, stay healthy and prosper, it takes more than faith. Remember, “Faith without work is dead” (James 2:26).
